2007

That was the year of the southern California wildfires and the birth of my first child. The picture above was taken at a high school friend's wedding and my son is only two month's old.

The most talked about movies were Transformers (7/3), Michael Clayton (10/5), and Juno (12/7); I started and ended the year with foreign horror like The Host (3/9, which even my wife liked) and The Orphanage (12/25)

Music artists I discovered or got back into: Joss Stone - Introducing Joss Stone (3/9); Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist (7/10); Common - Finding Forever (7/31); Modeselektor - Happy Birthday! (9/10); Simian Mobile Disco - Attack Decay Sustain Release (9/11)

Graphic novels I read: Korgi: Book 1, Incredible Change Bots, It Rhymes with Lust, (the very first graphic novel from 1950!); this year belonged to the indies as Image hit its 15th anniversary and Strangers in Paradise ended with a bang

Restaurants I discovered: Panera and Sushiya (at Liberty Station)
